Blidinje is a wide high plateau between the Čvrsnica and Vran mountains, about an hour north of Mostar. Wild horses, shepherds and huge open views make it feel far from everything. It has Blidinje Lake, the largest mountain lake in the country, and the medieval stećci of Dugo Polje, about 150 tombstones that are part of the UNESCO World Heritage listing. Masna Luka, at the edge of the park, is a pine forest with a small monastery. In winter, the small Risovac ski area operates on the slopes of Čvrsnica.
